Today marks the midpoint of the Just a Glimpse previews from the Vision 2020 exhibition. Here is an overview of the first twenty previews.
My curatorial approach for Vision 2020 is to present the artworks in pairs where the works complement one another in theme and/or palette. When the works are side by side, they are like a set of eyes.
Keep following @vision2020textiles on Instagram for previews of the remaining twenty works. A new preview image is revealed every other day in the lead up to the exhibition premiere at the Australasian Quilt Convention 16-19 April 2020.
Just a Glimpse is a series of blog posts sharing preview detail shots of each of the works selected for the Vision 2020 travelling textile art exhibition. The blog posts are published every other day and the Preview Gallery will be updated weekly.
Vision 2020 will premiere at the Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne, 16-19 April 2020 with a curator floor talk daily at 1.30pm.
