Just a Glimpse: Brenda Wood

18 March 2020 Filed Under: Artists, Just a Glimpse

Here’s a glimpse of Eye of “Heat” Storm by Brenda Wood of Brisbane, Australia. She remarks: Hottest October on record! Bushfire warning!  Fast forward a month and we have the worst bushfires in history. Having foresight, or vision of what was to come would we have changed anything? Here’s a glimpse of The Floater by Victoria Mansfield of Alexandra Hills, Queensland, Australia. This piece is a thread painted impression of a photo of Victoria’s retina  which shows the very large floater she has developed in her eye. The floater looks like a piece of thread. How fitting for a textile artist! Follow Victoria […]

Just a Glimpse: Monica Johnstone

9 March 2020 Filed Under: Artists, Just a Glimpse

While eye imagery dominates in Vision 2020, Monica Johnstone of Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA took a different look at the theme.
